As we step into 2025, Lincon High School Uganda is excited to offer a vibrant array of extracurricular activities designed to inspire, challenge, and engage our students beyond the classroom. Extracurriculars aren’t just about fun—they’re about building leadership, creativity, teamwork, and the confidence students need to thrive in the 21st century.

Whether you’re a new student or a returning learner looking to try something new, here are some of the top extracurricular activities to explore at Lincon High this year.

As the world shifts rapidly toward science and technology, the STEM & Innovation Club provides a hands-on space for students interested in coding, robotics, engineering challenges, and science experiments. This year, the club plans to participate in national science competitions and host the school’s first-ever Tech Week.

Perfect for: Curious minds, future engineers, and aspiring inventors.

The Debate Society continues to grow as a platform for students to sharpen their critical thinking and communication skills. In 2025, the team will be competing in inter-school tournaments and organizing public speaking masterclasses with guest speakers.

Perfect for: Future lawyers, leaders, or anyone with a voice to raise.

Climate awareness is more important than ever. Our Environmental Club leads school-wide tree-planting campaigns, waste management projects, and community clean-up events. In 2025, the club will launch a Green School Challenge to promote sustainability across campus.

Perfect for: Nature lovers, change-makers, and eco-warriors.

Art is a powerful form of expression. The MDD team offers students a creative outlet through theatre, African drumming, choir, dance, and spoken word. Students will showcase their talents in the annual Lincon Arts Festival and inter-school competitions.

Perfect for: Performers, storytellers, and cultural ambassadors.

From football and netball to athletics and volleyball, Lincon High’s sports program continues to be a cornerstone of school life. In 2025, we’re introducing a new Basketball Development Program and strengthening our partnerships with local sports academies.

Perfect for: Team players, competitive spirits, and fitness enthusiasts.

This club empowers students to think like entrepreneurs. Through business challenges, mentorship from local entrepreneurs, and school-based projects like Student Market Days, learners gain real-world financial and business experience.

Perfect for: Future CEOs, innovators, and problem-solvers.

The Lincon Media Club runs the student newsletter, podcast, and photojournalism projects. New in 2025: A student-led online magazine and video documentary series exploring student life and community stories.

Perfect for: Writers, editors, photographers, and aspiring journalists.

Students are encouraged to engage with real-life issues through volunteer work, peer mentoring, and leadership training. This year’s focus will be on mentoring students in partner primary schools and running outreach events for vulnerable communities.

Perfect for: Compassionate leaders and active citizens.

At Lincon High School, we believe learning doesn’t end at the classroom door. Our extracurricular activities help students discover their passions, build lifelong skills, and form friendships that go far beyond school years.

2025 is your year to grow, explore, and shine. Join a club. Start a project. Step into leadership. At Lincon High, the possibilities are endless—and they all begin with you.
